Vermont Business for Social Responsibility Networking Get-Together
Every year the Vermont Business for Social Responsibility have 7-8 Get-Togethers throughout the state, each hosted by a VBSR member. These events are informal gatherings where members have a chance to catch up with each other and to get a more in-depth look at the host's business or organization. The member/host is responsible for providing the site, a brief (20 minutes) presentation on a socially responsible business practice, and a brief tour of the business.
Sponsors from VBSR's membership are solicited and are allowed a one-minute presentation to introduce their company or service to the crowd. VBSR has had a great variety of these events and wonderful enthusiasm over the past few years.

It is sometimes called "the woodshed." Contrary to popular belief, the White House Situation Room is not a bunker that is located deep underground….”

Michael’s Fund
Michael’s Fund is a tax-exempt fund and part of The Vermont Community Foundation, a public charity. The fund was created in memory of, and dedicated to, Michael Goldfinger, who died of cancer in 1997.
The purpose of the Fund is to support Central Vermont not-for-profit organizations (particularly Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, and Central Vermont Hospital) in developing and providing services that improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
Services include those that are not currently available, or are not readily available, because insurance coverage is unavailable or cost is prohibitive. Services provided by the Fund will be without charge to the participants, at a location convenient for the recipient (e.g., home, hospital or doctor’s office).
