Off The Wall. . .

Cartoon

Many of us spend our days designing, drawing and building fine furniture, interiors or architecture. Endless hours are spent to get it just right. So it is disturbing to see a fine design being destroyed. Or not — maybe in some ways it is therapeutic.

Bridge

The 80 year old Champlain Bridge crossing Lake Champlain from Vermont to New York was demolished recently. It was over in seconds. Here is a short video of it dropping into the lake.

As we mentioned in our last newsletter, we are now offering our IIDA /IDCEC accredited seminar on furniture design and technology at our NYC Showroom. Stop by for a sampling of Vermont food products, including wine, organic ale, goat cheese, fine breads and chocolate truffles.

We are limiting these events to just 8 people per seminar. Come alone and meet other designers, or bring friends from your office. The seminars will be informal, and we encourage discussion. We will start at 5:30 pm, with the seminar running from 5:45 to 6:45 on Thursday, January 28th and Wednesday, February 17th. Call us or visit our website to learn more. And of course we would be happy to present a breakfast, lunch or early evening seminar at your office.

We are busy creating some unique projects right now and look forward to a very exciting 2010!

Boardroom Table

WallGoldfinger has long been known for its lightweight, reconfigurable Arbor tables.Ted Moudis Associates really upped the ante when they developed a requirement for a movable 12'-6" by 6'-6" table, this being over twice the size of a typical Arbor. Above we see two of tables linked together. Needless to say, some creative engineering on our part was the order of the day. . . Complete Article and Pictures
