A Grand Reception in the Caribbean |
WallGoldfinger has worked in some pretty faraway places in the past couple of years: Cairo, San Juan, Seoul, and, in this case, the Cayman Islands. The project was designed by DDL Studio and managed by Vista Development, both located in Georgetown, Grand Cayman. |

The client, an international financial services company, needed a new boardroom suite, including a reception desk. A challenging bit of work due to the tapering elliptical form, the desk features anigre veneer, stainless steel, and a “Bronzino” granite transaction top. |
Taking a break from his usual woodworking routine, here master cabinetmaker Rick Boutin finishes the wrapping of the desk's tack panels. |
The desk top features anigre veneer in a radial pattern. |
The desk has a full complement of box and file drawers. |
