Welcome Aboard, Courtesy of WallGoldfinger

WallGoldfinger is probably best known for its work with custom tables. But that is, by no means, all that we do. Many of our projects also include reception desks (and, very likely, other casework such as credenzas and lecterns). Here we’ve put together a small sampling of desks built over the past couple of years.

The desk above was built for a prominent Boston law firm. Designed by Visnick & Caulfield, it features sapele pomele, ribbon striped and plain sliced mahogany veneers, and a Carnis Venato granite transaction counter.

Built in 2008 for a large New York based insurance company, this Swanke Hayden Connell Architects designed desk uses a combination of plain sliced, quartered, and burl walnut veneers. The transaction top is Emperador Dark marble.

WallGoldfinger’s cabinetmakers can handle anything in terms of styles, from the minimalist and modern to the highly detailed and classical. The sleek Gensler designed desk (left above) is fabricated from Calacatta Crestola marble and wenge veneers, while the traditional desk (right above - design by Bill Boucher, Chase Manhattan Facilities) features crotch mahogany, polished brass, and etched glass.

ADD Inc designed the semi-circular desk (left above) for another major insurance provider. The materials are French ash veneer, black granite, and brushed and perforated stainless steel. Group 3 reversed the curve (right above) and employed English sycamore veneer, Blue Pearl granite, and etched mirror.

WG built two desks for a project in Wilmington, DE, one square, one round (shown above left). Designed by H2L2, the desks (and a boardroom table) share a common geometric design motif, using makore and mahogany veneers and ebonized accents to define the pattern. The Kling Stubbins desk (above right) moves away from wood — the walls are white lacquer, the work surfaces laminate and the transaction counter black granite.

So, if you have any casework needs, reception desk or otherwise, please call us!

Remember: WG is more than just tables!
