Hiding Cats
Suspicious Person/ Circumstance – A citizen called in reference to his missing cats. Advised subject that they may be hiding on him and that they are not missing but just can not find them.

Suspicious Kids and Deep Mud
MV Complaint – Police responded to Aseltine Road for a reported vehicle stuck in the roadway with young kids acting suspicious near the vehicle. When Police arrived, the vehicle had already been pulled out and the Northfield Police cruiser ended up getting stuck in the deep ruts and mud. North Main Service responded and towed the cruiser out.

Did Not Happen at WallGoldfinger
Citizen Assist — The department was contacted by a citizen that had been locked inside a business when it closed. The officer contacted the business owner to release the confined individual.

Small Nippy Dog. . . Still on the Loose
Animal Problem — An officer responded to a loose dog complaint on Dickinson Drive. The reported Rottweiler dogs were not located, however a small dog was found to be roaming the neighborhood. The dog was all too happy to eat dog treats, but declined to be transported to the pound, as evidenced by his eagerness to nip at anyone who tried to get too close. Animal control was also unable to capture the canine. The dog was left to its own devices.

Lazy Son
Juvenile Problem — Police received a complaint from Cross Street area of Northfield that a mother wanted her 16 year old son removed from her home. She stated that she had enough of his laziness and did not want him to live with her anymore. Police advised her that we could not remove him and that she was legally responsible for until he reached the age of 18. Police advised her to call DCF to attempt to get some help for her.

The Cookie Mystery
Burglary — Police received a complaint of a theft from the grey building. The complainant advised that a young male had entered the building on Sunday and stole some weight watchers cookies. Police spoke with the suspect but he had a witness stating that he was with her the entire day. The incident is under investigation. Total value of the cookies was ten dollars.
