Off The Wall. . .
After a two year vacation we have gotten back to issuing our E-mail newsletter. We will be sending this each month, with features on current projects, interesting materials, and new technologies. Monitors that are concealed in tables have become a specialty for us. We have completed over 10 projects with this ever evolving technology. To see more of our work in this area, visit our website at www.wallgoldfinger.com. Wall Goldfinger is certified for Forest Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody. Veneer is a very important part of this program. We have access to numerous flitches of FSC certified cherry veneer in plain sliced, quartered and ropey grains. Our New York showroom was recently updated with some of our newer designs. Feel free to stop by if you are in the area. Or give us a call if you would like to bring a group for a more formal training session. And yes, the snow is starting to fall in Vermont, and the ski areas are opening. Please visit us here, too! We hope you enjoy this newsletter; to see more, visit www.wallgoldfinger.com

Managing Rapid Change With Technology
Needing a high tech tool to assist a major regional bank's rapid change, WallGoldfinger developed a "U"-shaped table with 11 individually controlled monitor lifts for board meetings and video conferencing. Working with EDM Architects and BBE Office Interiors, WallGoldfinger took the project from "napkin sketch" to installation in just over four months. This state-of-the-art technology in a modern boardroom setting is just one of several monitor lift solutions engineered by WallGoldfinger.
To assist the client in visualizing the operation of the retractable monitors, WallGoldfinger's graphics department created the moving imagery you see above. All monitors may be deployed in unison, as shown, or individually. Featured Material: FSC Cherry Black cherry (prunus serotina) is one of the premier native North American cabinet woods, prized for its deep red color, beautiful grain, relative stability, and workability. It was used in the construction of some the most important early American pieces and continues to be very popular today, used both as a veneer and solid timber. Cherry's figure can range from quartered ("stripes") to plain sliced ("cathedrals") to ropey ("twisted"). ![]()
NYC Showroom
On display in our NYC showroom are examples of our latest designs for concealing monitors in conference tables. One design incorporates a lift, while a second has the monitor in a slide out drawer. We also have examples of our systems for rotating or "flip-over" microphones and speaker phones. The Showroom is in the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Avenue. We are on the 15th floor, and the space is managed by our New York Representatives, Napier, Joseph and McNamara. (212-683-7272). The hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. |
