ARCHI-Tech AV Awards 2007

WallGoldfinger was involved in an award winning $5M project involving the “masterful integration of architecture and technology [that] conveys power and elegance.”

The Hearst custom boardroom table appears in the July/August 2007 print issue of ARCHI-TECH magazine. Quote from a judge, “The bottom line is that this project was so exquisitely well done. This is what you hope that all projects aspire to, in terms of the integration of architecture and technology.”

Now in its fifth year, the ARCHI-TECH AV Awards continue to honor outstanding examples of the creative and effective integration of cutting-edge technology into commercial construction projects.

Vermont Business for Social Responsibilty Get-Together!

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) members held their July Networking Get-Together! at WallGoldfinger’s manufacturing plant in Northfield.

Every year the Vermont Business for Social Responsibility have 7–8 Get-Togethers throughout the state, each hosted by a VBSR member. These events are informal gatherings where members have a chance to catch up with each other and to get a more in-depth look at the host's business or organization. The member/host is responsible for providing the site, a brief (20 minutes) presentation on a socially responsible business practice, and a brief tour of the business.

Sponsors from VBSR's membership are solicited and are allowed a one-minute presentation to introduce their company or service to the crowd. VBSR has had a great variety of these events and wonderful enthusiasm over the past few years.

Anatomy of IAC Building

Barry Diller’s boardroom table appears in ‘Metropolis’ as part of a series of article on new headquarters of InterActiveCorp in New York City.

InterActiveCorp is featured as the cover story of Metropolis magazine with a 19 page spread inside — by far the most comprehensive article published to date on the building and occupants.

The articles online include a model timeline, floor graphics, the famed media wall, product innovation, and ‘The Boardroom’ featuring WallGoldfinger’s conference table.

Renovated White House Situation Room

In 2006, the Situation Room underwent a renovation to bring it up to date with new technology. The small conference room features a WallGoldfinger custom table with technology linking to generals and prime ministers around the globe.

From The White House Museum:

“The Situation Room is a 5,000 square foot complex of rooms in the ground floor of the West Wing, some of which have windows looking out the west side of the building. It is sometimes called "the woodshed." Contrary to popular belief, the White House Situation Room is not a bunker that is located deep underground….”
